Current World Affairs:
The Economist magazine… If you wish to learn more about the world and then be able to talk about current affairs relatively intelligently, The Economist is one of the few publications with less “slant” than many and is highly recommended! Don’t let the name of the magazine confuse you – it offers an excellent overview with well-researched journalism for current world affairs.

Networking, Business Support and Transitions:
Food for thought
For professional organizations: Google what you need, see what pops up, make a call to the organizers, go to a meeting or three, and pay attention. If the group resonates for you, then you have found a new “home” to network your network. If it doesn’t, then find another group (or three)! We highly recommend finding 2 or 3 groups, keep going to the meetings, become a consistent member, get involved in a leadership role or volunteer. Get exposure and network the network.
For professionals in transition: If you have an engineering background for example, of course we would recommend that you find a local, professional engineering group and “try them on for size”. It might also be very beneficial if you move out of your arena, and check out other groups. Project Managers, Engineers, Marketing Professionals, Caterers, Business Owners and Musicians are all welcome at many different kinds of groups. And men are usually welcome at professonal women’s organizations, too. Finally, if the group’s goals are in alignment with your values, then they might be an excellent fit… Food for thought!
